One Stop Business Workshop - Let's Get Pitched!

CBC, CAVCO, and CMPA are hosting a 7th season of One Stop Business Workshop, a series of FREE virtual information sessions that introduce emerging independent producers and content creators from traditionally underrepresented groups in the industry (Indigenous, Black, people of colour, women, 2SLGBTQ+, and people with disabilities) to topics related to the business and financing of TV, film, and original digital content.

This year, in answer to requests from One Stop audiences, will be offering three sessions on pitching to Canadian content commissioners on each of: May 7, 8 & 9.

Each session will be 1 hour long, with 30 min for advice on who, how and what to pitch and the remaining time for audience Q&A.

Webinars will be recorded. Recordings will be made available to registrants after each session, so even if you can't make it during the live webinar, you can access the recording a few days after the session.

Visit our event page for more info about our lineup of presenters and moderators.

If you want to catch up on any of the sessions from previous seasons, check them out on the One Stop Workshop site.

ASL, Closed Captioning, and French translation will be available during the live sessions. If you require ASL, Closed Captioning, and French translation please join the Zoom session instead of the YouTube option.
